WELCOME!

In 1951, a father's gift in honor of his son helped build the Bezazian Branch Library in Chicago. Today, Bezazian is one of the top ten
busiest in the Chicago Public Library's 81 branch system.

Our goal is to help keep it that way.

We're the Friends of Bezazian Library. Join us.

See what's happening at Bezazian in March!
Book club, stories, a history of bootblacking, and more

Mark your calendars for the 2026 Friends of Bezazian Book Sale!
Sale dates are September 19 and 20.
Would you like to get involved in planning? The book sale committee meets Saturday, April 18, at 11 a.m. in the community room at the library.

Have ideas for programs you'd like to see at Bezazian?
Join FoB's new program committee—the first meeting will be Sunday, March 15, at 10 a.m. at Haibayô Café, 1132 West Argyle Street.

Library budget cuts update: You were heard!

As of January 13, there's still no word on the particulars of the 2026 library budget, but thanks to you, it looks like our library has been spared at least some of the previously proposed cuts.

That's a win, and big one!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to write, call, and text your views on the importance of the library to our community and show your support for funding what matters.
